Mark 4:10-13 And when He was alone, they who were about Him, with the Twelve, asked Him concerning the parable.  And He said to them, To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. But to those outside, all these things are given in parables so that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.  And He said to them, Do you not know this parable? And how then will you know all parables?

Mat 13:15-17  for this people's heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."  16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 17 For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear what you hear, and have not heard them.

Welcome to our website.  Parables of our Lord Jesus website was created to help those in search of understanding of the word of God a place to study the parables of our Lord Jesus.

Parables in the New Testament are key to understanding the hidden understanding of word of God.

Jesus made it clear that the reason he spoken in parables was so that those not meant to enter the kingdom would not repent and be forgiven.  This is from Jesus' statement to the disciples in Mark 4:10-13 and Matthew 13:15-17.

This is harsh to some but it is the truth directly from our Lord Jesus.

So as a follower of our Lord Jesus we should ensure we understand the Parables Jesus gave to those meant to enter the Kingdom.

We have provided 59 parables from scripture that you can study and understand.  When needed we will include the content  before and after the parable so you can have a reference as to what initiated the parable from Jesus.

We will add comment as we move forward building the site.

May God bless your pursuit of the understanding of the word of God.

Please always remember the following commands from God.

Great Commandment

Mark 12:28-31  And coming up one of the scribes heard them reasoning, knowing that He had answered them well, he asked Him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29  And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord;

30  and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength." This is the first commandment.

31  And the second is like this: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

Great Commission

Matthew 28:18-20  And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority is given to Me in Heaven and in earth.

19  Therefore go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

20  teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world. Amen.

Mark 16:15-17  And He said to them, Go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation.

16  He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be condemned.

17  And miraculous signs will follow to those believing these things: in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak new tongues;

Johh 20:21-22  Then Jesus said to them again, Peace to you. As My Father has sent Me, even so I send you.

22  And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit.

Slave to the Lord

1 Corinthians 7:22-23  For he who is called a slave in the Lord is a freed man of the Lord. And likewise, he who is called a free man is a slave of Christ.

23  You are bought with a price, do not be the slaves of men.

Proclaim Jesus

Luke 24:46-48  And He said to them, So it is written, and so it behoved Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

47  and that repentance and remission of sins should be proclaimed in His name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48  And you are witnesses of these things.

Acts 1:8  But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in SaMarkia, and to the end of the earth.

Acts 17:2-3  And according to Paul's custom, he went in to them and reasoned with them out of the Scriptures on three sabbaths,

3  opening and setting forth that Christ must have suffered, and to have risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus whom I preach to you is Christ.

Learn and teach the Word

2 Timothy 3:15-15  and that from a babe you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

16  All Scripture is God-breathed, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

17  that the man of God may be perfected, thoroughly furnished to every good work.

Ephesians 4:11  And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,

12  for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

13  And this until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

14  so that we no longer may be infants, tossed to and fro and carried about by every wind of doctrine, in the dishonesty of men, in cunning craftiness, to the wiles of deceit.

15  But that you, speaking the truth in love, may in all things grow up to Him who is the Head, even Christ;

The standard set

1 Timothy 3:1-13  Faithful is the Word: If anyone reaches out to overseership, he desires a good work.

2  Then it behooves the overseer to be without reproach, husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, well-ordered, hospitable, apt at teaching,

3  not a drunkard, not contentious, not greedy of ill gain, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous,

4  ruling his own house well, having children in subjection with all honor.

5  (For if a man does not know to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

6  not a novice, lest being puffed up he may fall into the condemnation of the Devil.

7  But he must also have a good report from those on the outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the Devil.

8  Likewise the deacons are to be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of ill gain,

9  having the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

10  And let these also first be tested, then let them minister without reproach.

11  Even so their wives are to be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.

12  Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and households well.

13  For they having served well gain a good grade for themselves, and much boldness in the faith, those in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 4:12-13  Let no one despise your youth, but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.

13  Until I come, attend to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
