Mark 4:10-13 And when He was alone, they who were about Him, with the Twelve, asked Him concerning the parable.  And He said to them, To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. But to those outside, all these things are given in parables so that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.  And He said to them, Do you not know this parable? And how then will you know all parables?

Mat 13:15-17  for this people's heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."  16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 17 For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear what you hear, and have not heard them.

15 Meats defiling not - 16-20 explained

Matthew 15:10-15 And He called the crowd and said to them, Hear and understand. 11 Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man. 12 Then His disciples came and said to Him, Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying? 13 But He answered and said, Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up. 14 Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. 15 Then Peter answered and said to Him, Explain this parable to us.

Matthew 15:16-20 And Jesus said, Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not yet understand that whatever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the waste-bowl? 18 But the things which come out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile the man. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies; 20 these are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashed hands does not defile a man.
