Mark 4:10-13 And when He was alone, they who were about Him, with the Twelve, asked Him concerning the parable.  And He said to them, To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. But to those outside, all these things are given in parables so that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.  And He said to them, Do you not know this parable? And how then will you know all parables?

Mat 13:15-17  for this people's heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."  16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 17 For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear what you hear, and have not heard them.

22 fig tree leafing

Matthew 24:32  Now learn a parable of the fig tree. When its branch is still tender and puts out leaves, you know that summer is near. 33  So you, likewise, when you see all these things, shall know that it is near, at the doors. 34  Truly I say to you, This generation shall not pass until all these things are fulfilled. 35  The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but My Words shall not pass away.

Mark 13:28-29  And learn the parable of the fig-tree: when her branch is still tender and puts out leaves, you know that summer is near. 29  So you also, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, at the doors.

Luke 21:29-31  And He spoke a parable to them: Behold the fig-tree and all the trees. 30  Now when they sprout leaves, seeing it you will know that summer is now near. 31  So also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.
