Mark 4:10-13 And when He was alone, they who were about Him, with the Twelve, asked Him concerning the parable.  And He said to them, To you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. But to those outside, all these things are given in parables so that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.  And He said to them, Do you not know this parable? And how then will you know all parables?

Mat 13:15-17  for this people's heart has become gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes, lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."  16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 17 For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which you see, and have not seen them; and to hear what you hear, and have not heard them.

55 Inportunate widow and crooked judge

Luke 18:1-8 And He also spoke a parable to them to teach it is always right to pray, and not to faint,  2 saying, A certain judge was in a certain city, not fearing God, nor respecting man. 3  And a widow was in that city. And she came to Him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary. 4  And he would not do so for a time. But afterward he said within himself, Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5  yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, that she not wear me down in the end. 6  And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says. 7  And shall not God avenge His own elect who cry day and night to Him, though He has been long-suffering over them? 8  I say to you that He will avenge them speedily. Yet when the Son of Man comes, shall He find faith on the earth?
